Meloxicam belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which are used to reduce swelling, redness, or heat (inflammation) and pain in the joints. Meloxicam Tablets are used for the short-term (acute) treatment of flare ups of osteoarthritis and for the long-term (chronic) treatment of diseases of the joints, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and of the spinal column, known as ankylosing spondylitis.
