The Novaplus T 380 Ag Normal IUD is a T-shaped, non-hormonal contraceptive device composed of polyethylene and wound with copper wire that has a silver core. The device is impregnated with barium sulphate to make it radiopaque. It includes removal threads pigmented with iron oxide. The copper surface area is 380 mm². The device prevents pregnancy by inhibiting sperm motility and fertilization. Fertility typically returns promptly after removal. .
