COVERSYL ARGININE is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. These work by widening the blood vessels, which makes it easier for your heart to pump blood through them. Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor. This ACE converts Angiotensin I to Angiotensin II, whereby Perindopril also blocks angiotensin I into angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasoconstrictor that promotes the growth of smooth muscle cells of blood vessels and the heart.
